My recent TEDx talk presented during TEDxGdańsk 2012 entitled “Simulator of Christianity” is now available on official YouTube TEDx channel. The story, presented in Polish with English subtitles, features my research in London School of Economics on game theory, religions and social sciences. It is based on the findings of an MSc disseration I wrote, which received distinction from the LSE.
The basic idea is this: we could think of studying religious dynamics in a formalized settings which would simulate some real historical systems, where the religions spread. To do this we have to try to translate their characteristics into algorithms.
Watch the talk below or on YouTube.
PS. Certainly, the form of presentation was adjusted to the pop-scientific norms characteristic for TEDx. In April, however, I will present a paper on a similar topic in a more academic a manner at British Sociological Association Annual Conference 2013 in London.
